Family Health Fair

Last Saturday, our community came together for an event that not only brought smiles to children's faces but also provided essential resources for families in need. Hosted at CFGC’s principal location, the day was filled with activities, assistance, and plenty of fun.

The primary goal of the event was to distribute school supplies to kids and teens who required them. With the school year quickly approaching, ensuring that every child has the necessary tools for learning is crucial. From backpacks to pencils, notebooks to calculators, our employees worked tirelessly to gather donations and supplies to distribute to those who needed them most.

But the event didn't stop there. Recognizing the importance of healthcare access, attendees also had the opportunity to receive flu shots and get assistance signing up for Medicaid. This holistic approach to community support ensured that families not only had the material resources they needed but also were well prepared for the future.

Several vendors joined the event, including household names like Target, offering their support and showcasing their products. Their presence not only added to the festive atmosphere but also provided additional resources, information, and goodies to attendees.

Of course, no community event is complete without a bit of fun! Children giggled with delight as they bounced in the colorful bounce house, their faces adorned with whimsical designs from talented face painters. Other games and activities provided entertainment for kids of all ages as they were eating their Kona Ice snow cones in the hot Summer sun. Some even climbed in the fire engine brought to us by our friends at Dallas Fire-Rescue

And what's a celebration without music? DJ Smiley kept the energy high throughout the day, spinning tunes that had attendees dancing and grooving along. His infectious enthusiasm and carefully curated playlist added an extra layer of excitement to the event.

As the day came to a close, it was clear that the event had achieved its goal of bringing the community together while providing much-needed support to those in need. From school supplies to healthcare assistance, fun activities to valuable resources, CFGC’s Family Health Fair was a testament to the power of unity and compassion in creating a brighter future for all.
